WHAT IS THE NATIONAL GOLF DAY
To set the National Golf Day apart from just another day on the course, MoreGolf has put together an event like no other. An event that gives you a reason and an excuse to play golf. A chance to bond with friends, celebrate golf, challenge your heroes and do a little to give back to the game. The National Golf Day is a culmination of all that makes golf great.
Why it's special
We have lined up all 6 of South Africa's top golfers, all major winners, to participate in the National Golf Day. Alongside Trevor Immelmann, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen; Gary Player, nine time major champion, Ernie Els, four time major champion and Retief Goosen, two time major champion have all signed up to participate in this historic event. As part of what makes the National Golf Day so unique, no matter where in the country you play, our Stableford scoring system on the day will allow you to take on your heroes and see how you fare against South Africa's greatest, with proceeds going to charity.
When and Where
On the National Golf Day, the 3rd of September 2018, we have negotiated some incredible rates at many courses across the country to ensure that no matter how far or wide you find yourself, there is a special deal waiting for you on the day. In addition to the participating courses the World of Golf, the Golf Village Gilloolys and the Golf Village Centurion will all open their doors to the public for FREE practice for the entire day.
So what are you waiting for, join us on the 3rd of September 2018.
With the help and support of all of our partners, we want to make the National Golf Day a massive success, for golf and for the people who play golf. That is why this year proceeds made on the day will be donated to the South African Golf Development Board and Els for Autism.

All participants will get a personalised certificate documenting your participation in the day, the course you played, the score you shot and which of the South Africa icons you managed to out-play.
